Star Wars RPG - Homecoming Part 1

"Transmission Incoming...  Source: encrypted From: Abo Dolfini To: Dead Drop #547 Subject: Extraction  Greetings Rebels,  A mission has come down that seems suited to your group's particular skill set.   A long time operative on IridoniaOtam Shay, has uncovered some valuable information and has signaled for extractions. This information is reputed to be very sensitive and cannot be transmitted through the holonet  Attached is the location of a safe house in Vorgaa Station that Shay has used recently. Contact him there and get him and the information he carries off planet.   Additionally, there are rumors of an archeological site in the area dating back thousands of years that may still be undisturbed. If time permits, investigate and see there is anything useful or valuable located there.   May The Force Be with You "

On the as yet unnamed ship on the way to Iridonia, the crew took some time to get to know each other a little better. Ouca and Reeza talked about their similar backgrounds where their families were taken from them at a young age and what they did to survive. Reeza stole when he needed to but always tried to take from bad people if they could. Ouca learned the ways of the warrior to escape but never let the fire of revenge die in his heart. Asha and Toch continued their training and probed the feelings of those on board. With no navi-computer on board, CQ-38 used a module installed in him to calculate the route through hyperspace.

Upon arriving in orbit of Iridonia, the crew came face to face with the Imperial Star Destroyer Reclaimer and we hailed by Lt. Fung. He boarded their ship and inspected the crew. Asha made up some shipping manifests on the fly and got them out of danger. Lt. Fung said they could land on the planet near Vorgaa Station but could only take off to break obit or they would be fired upon.
The crew landed outside the city and left, Tikki, Mal and CQ to guard the ship. Upon entering the city, Ouca got involved in a touch Zabrak competition and won while Reeza and Asha went to check out rumors around the town. After a small ruckus, they learn about the most likely temple ruins in the are to be undisturbed is in the middle of a lake of acid. The clew also has CQ research the tide systems on Iridonia which are pretty complex but predictable. CQ cuts the conversation short as Tikki is trying to nest in the ship's ventalation system. The crew then moved toward the safe house, but first some shopping. Asha bought some stinky coconut-bananas called Ananas and put them in her floating footlocker. Ouca bought some Zabrakian silk and had them delivered to the ship.

At the safe house, they discovered that it had been ransacked. Ouca found a hidden safe and Asha used her new lock picking set to bust into it. There they found a dataslate with instructions to meet at a park in the city. Asha also found a coaster from a nearby cantina, Bilko's Bistro, with a communicator code written on it. Before checking out the meeting place they decide to walk by the cantina.

On the way to the cantina, Asha is approached by another Chiss that seemed to recognize her. She told him that he must be mistaken and walked off as quickly as she could.

At Bilko's Bistro, they found a pretty quiet bar with a few games of pasaak going on in the corners. Asha walks over to the game with a very drunk Imperial officer and a scruffy-looking human and takes a seat. She picks up on the human getting information about some sort of money making scheme being run by the officer and catches that the human's name is Shay. She drops the code phrase "The Ewoks are in the Ananas" and Shay replies with the response "I bet they smell awful."

Ottam Shay told the crew that he signaled for extraction a week ago and has been waiting. In that time he discovered that Lt. Phiel has an off the books farm in the area using enslaved Zabrak to grow yarrock, a plant used to make illegal spice. Shay says that he can't leave in good conscience knowing that those Zabrak are in those conditions.

While they were talking, Stormtroopers piled into the cantina and tell everyone "Hold it right there." Shay doesn't miss a beat and ran out of the back door. While the party is trying to put on their best "don't shoot me" face, they saw Shay blast away on a speeder. The Stormtroopers chase after Shay and stole some speeders from bikers out in front of the cantina. The crew took advantage of the chaos and also "borrowed" some bikes and transports of their own.

Shay ran out of the city on a speeder followed in close succession by a pack of Stormtroopers and the crew. Shay cut off the road an into a dangerous canyon, trying to lose the Troopers. The party had to fight their way up through the pack of Stormtroopers to try and help Shay.

...

We left the party in mid-chase when it got too late for the teachers in the crew. When we pick up, I hope to wrap up the chase quickly and integrate Mal and Tikki into the party. I'll let Sean and Katie talk about what has been going on at the ship while all this action has been going on.

I am going to have a little homework for everyone that I will send next week.
